La TringaleLa Tringale is an 1820's farmhouse with additional buildings, set in 2.5 acres, is nestled in the meandering Lower Normandy countryside, offering excellent accommodations and facilities, peace and tranquillity and within easy reach of major ferry-ports (Cherbourg and Caen = 1 hour), airports (Carpiquet = 40 mins) and key attractions of this truly delightful and historic region; D-Day Landing beaches from 20-30 mins., Bayeux 20 mins and Le Mont St Michel 1 hour 20 mins.

We offer self-catering accommodations in the form of the Cottage (3 bedroom stone cottage) and the Gite (a 2 bedroom barn-conversion) and B&B rooms in the main farmhouse. All accommodations are spacious, well equipped and decorated. We can accommodate up to 24 people (17 in individual beds) and welcome groups on an accommodation-only basis or B&B basis; optional evening meals available too, including beers and wines.

The grounds include many patio’s with full furniture, barbecues and picnic tables, a play area for children with swings, slide, rope-tyres and see-saw, large landscaped gardens with facilities for ball games (equipment provided) or relaxation, secure car parking and a large pond with fish, frogs and moorhens. There is also a laundry for guests’ use. A selection of bicycles for loan (no helmets available!), DVD’s and Videos too.

In addition to the immense history and beautiful beaches of the region there is a great deal for all interests and tastes. Enjoy the peaceful landscape and winding roads whilst visiting the Cathedrals, Chateaux, Medieval towns/monuments (Bayeux & Le Mont St Michel), forests, 3 zoos, aqua-parks, adventure parks, fishing, velo-rail, golf courses, winding rivers and lakes, French markets. We are open all year round and welcome families, touring bikers, cyclists, walkers/ramblers, golfers, historians, writers and artists.
