These lovely people, veterans and their wives and some family members too, have stayed here for the past 3 years whilst visiting Normandy to celebrate the D-Day Landings. They attend ceremonies on the various Landing beaches and also at memorials and military cemeteries in the towns in which they fought to pay tribute to and remember their fallen comrades. The pictures show a group of 7 veterans (05); the ceremony of remembrance in Bayeux (05); some of the veterans at the welcome buffet meal (07) and the Fish & Chips night provided by local English people, for the veterans, in Cerisy la Foret (07). A great time was had by all!! |

Thirdly, the Abbey Belles Barbershop Choir from Selby, Yorks who came to Normandy to perform a concert in Carentan which is their twin-town. The pictures show them in concert (a well attended and very well received concert in the theatre in Carentan) and their welcome, arrival buffet meal. |
